    SKY(Skill to Youth) in collaboration with Career & Placement Cell of the college conducted finishing school for PG students on 22, 23 August 2017. Dr. PK. Babu, Principal inaugurated the workshop. Different sessions on Interview skills, CV Preparation, presentation skills and GD were led by experts.

  • Farmer's Day Celebration

    NSS units of the college organized farmer's day celebration " on Chingam 1, 17/8/17. Sri. Nageswaran, an engineer-turned organic farmer was the chief guest of the programme. He shared his experience in developing a self-sustainable model for farming in his native land. It was followed by an interactive session.New farming practices were discussed in the session. NSS programme officers Soumya S and Dr. Mansoor Ameen co-ordinated the programme.

  • Seminar On "Insights On Capital Market"

    PG Department of Economics conducted a seminar on "Insights on Capital Market" on 21st August 2017 in the seminar hall. CA Salman KK, Assistant General Manager, SEBI Kochi Office made the presentation on the topic.

  • Prize in intercollegiate presentation competition

    Muhammed Shafi of first semester MA Economics won second place in the inter-collegiate presentation competition on GST held at PSMO College, Thirurangadi on 17.08.17. The programme was conducted by the Department of Economics, PSMO College. Mohamed Ashik of third semester MA Economics also participated in the competition

  • Interactive session with foreign scholar

    PG Department of Economics organised an interaction session for PG students of the Department with Dr Nabeel Mancheri, Assistant Professor of Economics and Industrial Ecology, University of Leiden, Netherlands on 10th August 2017. He is also an alumnae of the Department (1998-2001).

  • UGC NAAC Team Visited Mampad College

    The team consisting of three members visited Mampad College for the third cycle of Re-accreditation on 7th and 8th. This is the first visit since Mampad College has been granted Autonomous status in 2015. The Peer Team consists of Prof. S K Saidapur, former Vice-chancellor, Karnataka University, Prof. MDP Rau, former Principal, Kallikott Autonomous College, Odisha and Prof. J P Sharma, Head of the Department of Commerce, University of Delhi as Members. The team visited various departments, library and assessed curricular, co-curricular, and other extension activities. The second day the team visited the examination wing, College Office, rain harvesting initiative and Solar Panels. The team also assessed the activities of NSS, NCC, Women Empowerment Cell, Civil Service Academy, Language Clubs, Entrepreneurship Cell, Bhoomithra Sena, Nature Club and various other lnitiatives. The Team also interacted with students, teachers, parents, alumni, the Management and others to gain deeper understanding into the functioning of the institution. The visit concluded after the exit meeting.

  • Meet the young Entrepreneur

    Entrepreneurship Development Club of MES Mampad College organized an interactive session with Mr. Amjad Wafa ,director, Caliph World Foundation on the title “MEET THE YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR. The programme started at 10:30 am with welcome speech by Prof. Sulfi P, Co-ordinator , ED Club. The programme was officially inaugurated by Dr.P.K Babu, Principal MES Mampad College. The interactive session with a successful entrepreneur and How to become a successful entrepreneur was led by Mr.Amjad Wafa, Director, Caliph World Foundation.   • NSS Alumni Meet

    To take a walk down the corridors of nostalgia, the first alumni Meet of NSS volunteers, was inaugurated by the Principal Dr.P K Babu on 29July 2017.Staff secretary and former programme officer Prof.Ismail Zacharia delivered the presidential address.Staff secretary and former programme officer Prof.Ismail Zachria delivered the presidential address.The meet started with NSS song. The occasion was graced by more than 100 Alumni and their family members ranging across various batches from various parts of the country and outside the country as well.The inaugural session was followed by experience sharing and cultural programmes of alumni volunteer.   • Certificate course on data analysis

    The Department of Commerce and Management Studies has organised certificate distribution ceremony of certificate course on data analysis using statistical software on 18th July 2017. 20 students from various departments were successfully completed the 3 months certificate course.
